New features included in the most recent update

Microsoft Launcher is an app that’s constantly evolving, and this makes perfect sense considering the parent company’s commitment to Google’s mobile operating system.

Microsoft Launcher is playing a key role in this strategy, and needless to say, delivering new refinements on a regular basis is the only option in the long term.

The most recent version of Microsoft Launcher therefore introduces new capabilities, and while at first glance they may not seem much, they actually help the app become an all-rounder that’s hard to compete against.

The latest update for Microsoft Launcher therefore introduces the option to pin a historical search query to top, thus making it easier to repeat a certain search at a later time. All you need to pin the search to top is a long tap, as you should then see options like delete, clear the history, and pin.

Then, Microsoft says it has enabled a more/less option for the footer of the search history section, therefore making this feature easier to work with.

And as every other update, Microsoft Launcher version 6.220304.0.1041800 comes with address various other bugs, so overall, this release should feel a bit more polished and stable overall.

Microsoft and its commitment to everything Android

Microsoft is betting big on its Android apps, with the company also investing big in devices running Google’s mobile operating system. Though nobody would have anticipated such a change of mind 10 years ago when Windows Phone was still a thing, Microsoft is now building Android phones, with the Surface Duo currently one of the most innovative devices on the market.

Already at its second generation, the Surface Duo is expected to get a new refresh at some point in 2023, as Microsoft is unlikely to launch a hardware refresh of this particular device this year.
