14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just rolled out a new stable build of its Android Launcher, after several beta versions supposed to help the company test-drive new features.
Microsoft Launcher 4.7.5 is thus available for download right now, though the changelog doesn’t make it the most compelling release so far.
For example, the release notes reveal that the new Launcher fixes the most common crashes and app not responding errors, so the application should run smoother with nearly-flawless experience. Of course, bugs are still possible, but given that Microsoft spent more time optimizing the experience with the app, most likely by addressing errors reported in beta builds, everything should be substantially improved.
Additionally, this new version includes support for applying icon packs over single custom-set icons, as well as adjustments to wallpaper settings experience. The software giant doesn’t provide any specifics on these two changes.
And last but not least, Microsoft Launcher 4.7.5 includes several badge count bugfixes, plus performance, memory, and CPU improvements.

For beta users, the new release doesn’t bring any substantial changes since the stable version is based on preview builds that were published in the last few weeks. But for those who decided to stick with stable versions, updating is really important because an improved experience is always recommended, especially when Microsoft says that it corrected the most common bugs and issues.
Microsoft Launcher is currently one of the company’s most popular Android apps with more than 10 million installs from the Google Play Store. It currently has an overall rating of 4.6 points out of a maximum of 5, and the Google Play store listing has no less than 527,000 ratings.
Microsoft is very committed to improving the Launcher with further improvements, so if you want to try out new features in advance, you can enroll in the beta program, though this means you could hit more bugs and issues.
