More improvements included in the latest build

The most recent Windows 11 preview build shipped to the Dev channel comes with further improvements for the search experience bundled with the OS.

More specifically, the Redmond-based software giant says its effort on improving the way the search integration looks into the Windows 11 taskbar continues with the release of the latest build, so users should notice new rounded corners after updating.

However, worth knowing is that Microsoft is trying out different ideas for the search experience, so not everybody might be seeing the same look for the search box.

“We are continuing to try out different treatments for how search looks on the taskbar that began with Build 25252. Insiders in the Dev Channel will begin seeing an updated treatment with more rounded corners starting with this build. If you see the new treatment, you can right-click on the taskbar to open taskbar settings and adjust the experience,” the software giant explains.

Furthermore, Microsoft says the most recent Windows 11 preview build also comes with additional fixes for the search experience, including for the way the text in the search box is displayed. However, these fixes are only live for users who have already been provided with the new search concepts that are now available in the Insider program.

“We fixed the issue causing a search box which appeared to be floating on the desktop when you changed your primary monitor or plugged in an external display. Text in the search box should no longer be clipped on the bottom when using increased text scaling,” the company says.

Needless to say, it’s important to keep in mind that these ideas are only available for insiders for the time being, and there is no ETA as to when it could go live for users who aren’t part of the testing program.
