I don’t know about you, but the troubleshooters that are bundled with Windows barely helped me as I tried to deal with various issues in the operating system.

Given their purpose is to try a series of generic fixes, troubleshooters only attempt to repair your Windows experience with the help of recommendations that many power users might find ridiculous from the very beginning.

As such, the troubleshooting apps available in Windows are first and foremost aimed at beginners, assisting them in dealing with the common problems they might come across when running the operating system.

Nevertheless, Microsoft is trying to make using these troubleshooters more straightforward, so the latest Windows 11 preview build comes with an important change on this front. The company is moving the Network Troubleshooter which was until now available separately in the operating system to a new home, directly into the Get Help app.

Network troubleshooter now available in the latest app version

This way, the software company plans to make the experience more convenient, as all troubleshooters are slowly but surely integrated into this app.

“Getting disconnected from the internet hurts productivity at work and relaxation at home. To help you get back online we’re replacing the Network Troubleshooter in the OS with a modern Get Help based experience. With new APIs that diagnose problems and offer specific recommendations to get online, the app targets the 30 most common connectivity issues. To use the new experience, you will need Get Help app version 10.2208.2551.0 or greater,” Microsoft explains.

The new experience is available today, but keep in mind that you need to update the Get Help app to the latest version. Expect similar news in the coming months as well, as the Get Help app is finally getting, well, useful.
