Microsoft has just released a new update for the OneDrive app on iOS, and while the changelog itself only includes a couple of improvements, the more exciting part is actually the changelog.

OneDrive version 10.45.11 comes with Christmas-themes release notes, as Microsoft used the well-known song The Night Before Christmas to customize the changelog for the OneDrive app.

Here’s Microsoft very own geeky version of the song, and scroll down to the end of the article to listen to the original version of The Night Before Christmas:

Twas the night before shipping, and all through the app, not a pixel was stirring, not even a scrap; This gem was polished with time and care, in hopes our users would soon tap and hold there; The users waited on the update to load, to see what triggers this festive snow.

What’s new in the latest version?

As for what’s new in this update, the latest OneDrive version brings back the text annotation functionality for PDF documents. There’s also improved eraser experience and the typical bug fixes that are part of every release.

Microsoft says all these improvements are based on user feedback, and while the annotation tool has returned, the company explains that it needs suggestions to further refine the feature.

“We are always listening to your feedback and will continue to improve and iterate on our PDF experience. Please keep pointing out areas that need a little TLC,” it explains.

You can download the latest version of OneDrive for iOS from the App Store using this link. If you’re already running the app on your iPhone with auto-update on, the new version should already be there on your device. Just look into settings and make sure that the version you are running is 10.45.11.
