The Start menu has received a major refresh in Windows 11, so Microsoft is working non-stop on further polishing the overall experience with it, just to make sure everything works as expected.

Windows 11 build 22563, which is now available for users in the Windows Insider program in the Dev channel, comes with additional Start menu improvements, including a series of very important bug fixes.

For example, the company says it has resolved a crash that took place when some users tried to share an app from the All apps list.

Furthermore, the company says it has also resolved a glitch that caused some inconsistency regarding the launch of the Start menu with the new touch gesture that was included in Windows 11.

The sleep icon in the power menu has also been further polished, so it no longer shows a bell, while the recommended items added or removed to the Start menu exhibit a new fade in or out animation.

Possibly coming to everyone in the next quality update

The company has also resolved a glitch that caused the names of apps in folders to sometimes appear with a blur effect that made it harder to read the text.

“When recommended items are newly added or removed, their icons will now be animated to fade in and out. The sleep icon in the power menu is no longer incorrectly showing as a bell. Fixed an issue causing the apostrophe in the power button tooltip to not display correctly. Names of apps in folders no longer appear blurred briefly when opening folders in Start. Fixed a crash some people were encountering when trying to share an app from the All apps list,” Microsoft explains.

Many of these fixes are expected to make their way to the production builds of Windows 11 rather sooner than later, as the company doesn’t typically wait for larger updates to release the additional polishing to computers out there.

If anything, the next Windows 11 monthly update could include the aforementioned fixes.
