Due to an issue that was discovered at the last minute

Windows Insiders have been anxious to install the latest Windows 10 Mobile Preview build that's been promised by Microsoft since early this week.

Unfortunately, Microsoft's Gabe Aul has some bad news to share and that's the fact that the release of the next build has been pushed to next week.

Even though everyone was pretty excited to install Windows 10 Mobile Preview build 10536 on their smartphones, it looks like they will have to wait a while longer.

According to Gabe Aul, Microsoft's team of engineers found at the last minute a bug that would cause major issues after additional builds would have been released.

Basically, the issue found by Microsoft would have caused all builds after 10536 to not install over it, so Windows Insiders would have been required to reflash in order to go forward to the next build.

The next build is almost finished

Microsoft's official also mentions that there are some good news as well. “We were already flighting the next build which has the Store fix, so we have that one close behind,” he said.

Now, if you are one of those waiting for a new Windows 10 Mobile Preview build to be pushed to the Fast ring, then you should know that you will have to wait until next week.

Gabe Aul has confirmed that another Windows 10 Mobile Preview build will be launched early next week, which means there won't be any releases today.

We will most likely learn about an exact release date on Monday, but if nothing goes wrong, we might see the new Windows 10 Mobile Preview build arriving Tuesday at the latest.

In the meantime, Microsoft is expected to release the final version of Windows 10 Mobile in early October, along with the company's new flagship smartphones, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

Until then, we're not sure if Microsoft will have time to release more than one or two additional Windows 10 Mobile Preview builds, so let's hope there won't be any other delays in the future.
