Sticky Notes now supports syncing with OneNote

Microsoft has already announced that Sticky Notes would be coming to Android, and now the company has started the beta testing with the OneNote app.

One of the features that will be available in a future Sticky Notes release is support for OneNote, which technically means that your notes would sync between the two apps effortlessly on all platforms.

The most recent OneNote for Android APK (still in beta) comes with support for Sticky Notes. The app includes a new tab in the navigation bar that makes it possible to access content stored in Sticky Notes, synced when you log in with the same Microsoft account.

No pen support on Android just yet

Just as expected, the app allows the creation of new notes and editing the existing ones, and they are synced to all devices that support the feature.

“Sticky Notes is now available in OneNote Android on Phones for our Beta users. Sticky Notes can sync seamlessly across Windows, and iOS. (This is a preview release. Will start rolling out soon on Windows and iOS). Please close and relaunch the app if you are a beta user and don't see sticky notes yet on your phones,” Microsoft announced today.

Sticky Notes will also come to iOS devices, though a preview build isn’t available for the time being.

What’s important to know is that Sticky Notes integration is still in its early days on Android, so some features are still missing, including support for inking. In other words, even if you have a smartphone with pen support, like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, you can’t create new notes with the S Pen for the time being, though it goes without saying that this feature will certainly be added very soon.

You can download the beta by first registering in the testing program here. Keep in mind that it’s an early version and some features may not work exactly as expected.
