The second-generation Microsoft Band is already available for pre-order for customers who want to get it when delivery starts, but many are wondering how much has changed in terms of comfort as compared to the original model.

It's no secret that many people found the first Band very uncomfortable because of the flat display, but others said that it was all just a matter of time, because the longer you wore it on your wrist, the bigger the chances to simply fall in love with it.

But Microsoft has heard all these complaints, and for the second generation it actually opted for a curved display that seems to make it a lot more comfortable to wear during the entire day.

These photos, which have been snapped by Reddit user FinalHaloKing, show the Microsoft Band 2 alongside the first-generation model, perfectly revealing the change in design that the company has adopted for its smart wristband.

What's more, the batteries are no longer placed on the two sides of the smartwatch, which once again should make it more comfortable to wear day and night. The Band was designed as a full-time companion because it can track basically everything, including steps, running, biking, and pretty much most of the sports out there.

What's more, it can monitor sleep, so if you don't mind wearing it at night, the Band really comes in handy to see statistics regarding the way you sleep and heart activity during the night.

The second-generation Band is already available for pre-order, and shipments should begin on October 30, so in case you want to be the first to get it, you'd better buy one today. Pricing for the Band 2 starts at $249, which makes it one of the most affordable smart wearables on the market today, despite the plethora of features that it provides.
