Some improvements have been implemented too

Microsoft's Arrow Launcher for Android devices has just received another major update that brings new features into the mix and addresses some issues reported by users.

For those who don't know, the Arrow Launcher is still in beta, so it's a work in progress. If you want to become a tester for Microsoft's Android application, you should register your interest on the Google+ community and then download Arrow Launcher from Google Play store.

Anyway, the latest update should bump the Arrow Launcher beta to version 7, which is only a few steps away from the final iteration (hopefully).

If you're already a tester, then you have probably received the update on your smartphone, so let's see what's changed in beta 7.

First of all, developers added a Recent tab, where Arrow Launcher users will be able to find captured photos and downloaded documents much easier. On this tab you can also see all the people that have contacted you recently.

Hide Pages and visual improvements

Another new feature included in this update is the option to hide a page. According to developers, many users wanted the ability to hide pages they didn't need, for a simpler experience.

Well, it looks like Microsoft listened and added this option, along with the ability to customize it as users see fit.

Some improvements have been implemented as well such as the removal of the blur from the Widgets page, which should look better now.

Also, developers confirmed they have tweaked their first-time tutorial to be more understandable, and give users a better first impression of Arrow Launcher.

Another important improvements is battery optimization, which should enhance battery consumption of Arrow Launcher so that the phone can be used longer.

Last but not least, some localization changes have been included in the update, so expect Traditional Chinese support for Arrow Launcher. Also, Microsoft confirmed it would continue to add more language support in future updates.
