14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft is expected to launch the Windows 10 Anniversary Update sometime next month, so the company is now working on putting the final touches on this important release.
But at the same time, it’s also looking into ways to ensure that the Anniversary Update is well received by the community, so it’s preparing a US tour to bring live demos in select locations.
The company will be holding special events in several US stores to provide live demos of the new features integrated into the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, help attendees learn more about the Windows Insider program and find out how to join and provide feedback.
At the same time, Microsoft will allow visitors to get in touch with company engineers who are working on Windows 10 and get support on some of the problems they came across with their devices, so yes, you’re free to bring your phones or laptops to chat with the Softies on anything that’s not working as expected.
Only taking place in the United States
A total of seven stops are included in this tour, and you can check it out in the box after the jump. Only the United States is included in Microsoft’s tour roadmap, so if you live in any other country, you’re out of luck. Of course, depending on the feedback the company receives and the success of this tour, Microsoft might also hold similar events in other parts of the world, but nothing official is available just yet.
The Windows 10 Anniversary Update is due in July, so the tour comes just at the right time. Insiders are already being provided with preview builds of the update, and they are also likely to be the first ones getting the final build when it’s ready. Rumor has it that RTM will be version 1607, but specifics are not yet available.
Microsoft has already confirmed that Windows 10 AU is feature-locked and the focus is on bug fixes, so the next few builds won’t bring anything than refinements and performance improvements.
