Microsoft has recently announced another update for the To-Do application, bringing List Sharing to users on all supported platforms, including Windows 10 and iOS.

Evidence of List Sharing coming to all users has already been discovered online earlier this month, and now Microsoft officially announces it in a blog post, explaining that in early June, Microsoft To-Do should receive it on Android, Windows 10, iOS, and the web.

By the middle of the next month, everyone should have List Sharing in the app, Microsoft explains in its post (via Tero Alhonen), so the rollout should complete quite quickly.

Users have full control of sharing

Version 1.32 will be the one bringing this functionality, which essentially enables users to share a specific list with colleagues, friends or family by simply generating a link. This link can then be submitted to any recipient in pretty much any way, like email, instant messaging, or using a mobile platform.

“We’ve designed sharing in Microsoft To-Do to be flexible and lightweight, so the app can work the way you do,” Microsoft explains in the blog post.

“With our share link, we make it easy to coordinate and collaborate in small teams and one-on-one. Just generate the link and share with your team, family and friends via email, SMS or app of your choice. Once you’ve accomplished your project together, you’re free to stop sharing and turn off the share link, remaining in control of your list.”

Users will be allowed to stop the sharing and delete the generated link whenever they want from the same file info dialog, in a way that’s similar to the sharing in OneDrive.

The previous version of Microsoft To-Do, namely 1.28, introduced Steps, and it is already available to all users on Windows 10, iOS, Android, and the web since April.
