Microsoft Edge comes with all kinds of hidden goodies, and one of the coolest is the Surf game that users can launch by simply typing edge://surf in the address bar.

In theory, the game is specifically supposed to be played when you’re offline, as this is a great way to kill some time while you wait for the Internet connection to recover and continue browsing the web.

But in practice, the Surf game has become an Internet sensation, so getting a higher score is now something that many people are trying no matter if they’re online or offline.

Now available for everybody

The good news is Microsoft is bringing the Surf game to all versions of Microsoft Edge, and the latest to get it is the Android release. Originally announced in September as part of the Canary build on Android, the stable version of the browser aimed at Google’s mobile operating system now supports the Surf game too.

“An update: This is now available on Edge on Android! We’re still rolling it out to our iOS users, so keep an eye out for an update to your app,” Microsoft announced on Twitter.

“Get your winter clothes on and hit the slopes with a limited-time skiing theme for the surf game in Microsoft Edge 96! Can you avoid the yeti while taking a trip down memory lane? Type edge://surf/ into Microsoft Edge to play!”

Needless to say, you must be running the most recent version of Microsoft Edge for Android, so make sure you install it from the Google Play Store today. If you’re already running a newer version of the browser released for testing purposes (the Dev or Canary builds), the game should also be there.

Just type edge://surf in the address bar and then make sure you share your high score with the world.
