The following weeks will be pretty hot for the gaming industry. There are rumors about Sony wanting to reveal the PlayStation 5's price, but Microsoft has its own plans for the month of July, as the Redmond-based giant is expected to announce its first-party roadmap in full in just a few weeks from now.

Until then, Microsoft announced the so-called Summer Game Fest Demo, a gaming event that will take place between July 21 and July 27. As the name suggests, participants will be able to play more than 60 brand-new game demos of unreleased Xbox games for a week. During the event, special Game Fest Demo tiles will appear on the Xbox One Dashboard making it easier for players to find the collection of available demos.

More importantly, Microsoft revealed that the demos that we will be playing during the event are not normal “game demos.” The majority of the demos that will be hosted by Microsoft in the Demo channel have been created after the game is completed (or nearly completed) and represent the final version.

However, some of the demos are early, and some are for games that will not be launched any time soon. As mentioned by Microsoft, these demos will only be available via the Xbox Dashboard for a week, and while some might be re-published to the Demo channel later, most of them will no longer be released.

According to Microsoft, there will be around 75-100 game demos available to play later this month, but the full list will be unveiled closer to July 21. Still, Microsoft couldn't help but list some of these games in case you want a taste of what's to come: Cris Tales, Destroy All Human!, Haven, Hellpoint, Skatebird, The Vale: Shadow of the Crown, Raji: An Ancient Epic, and Welcome to Elk.
