Microsoft is working on a new set of improvements for Office insiders, and part of the preview program for Apple’s iPhone, the company is gearing up to update the productivity suite to version 2.12.

There are several new features coming to Office for iPhone, and it all starts with Word and Excel, both of which are going to get new options to “Share ideals visually.” Microsoft says users will be able to rotate, resize, and add color to SVG images in documents and worksheets.

Additionally, Excel is also getting two exclusive features, including options to perform common calculations on a selected range of data using a series of functions like SUM, COUNT, and AVERAGE. And furthermore, Excel will be updated with options to offer quick access to contextual commands like expand selection, sort, and filter.

Public rollout to begin later this month

Microsoft’s Outlook will receive its own share of improvements, including notifications to let you know when it’s time to leave for an appointment. Microsoft says this feature will determine your location and look into appointment conditions and traffic information and estimate the time to leave to make sure you reach the destination in time.

And last but not least, Outlook is being improved with tools to select folders and groups as favorite, just to make sure you’ll be able to access them faster at a later time.

All these improvements are currently part of the Insider program, but depending on the feedback that Microsoft receives, they should all become available for the rest of users later this month.

On the other hand, participating in the Office Insider program comes with the risk of bugs and performance issues, so if you’re very keen on getting all the features mentioned above but expect nothing more than smooth experience, you better wait until Microsoft begins the public rollout for everyone.
