CEO Satya Nadella will attend the conference as well

Microsoft will be holding a press event on October 26 to launch the new Surface All-in-One PC, but the company has just announced a new media conference only one week later to discuss Office plans.

While it’s not yet clear what exactly it plans to announce at this November 2 event, Microsoft is very likely to focus specifically on businesses with Office updates that will “empower every team to achieve more,” as the company itself explains.

Office CVP Kirk Koenigsbauer will take the stage to discuss these Office updates during the keynote, but it appears that CEO Satya Nadella will also be there, which confirms that Microsoft is betting big on this media event, especially because it’s supposed to bring the software firm closer to businesses.

Without a doubt, Office 365 enterprise features will be the main focus and Microsoft is likely to introduce its new Slack competitor that has already been spotted testing several times in the last few weeks. But all in all, it’ll be an event that will show the company’s continued focus on the Office productivity suite, especially given the fact that competition from other solutions, including Google’s Docs, is increasing.

The Surface PC event

One week before, however, Microsoft is expected to introduce the new Surface All-in-One PC, which represents the latest addition to the Surface hardware lineup.

Rumor has it that the Surface PC will be offered in three configurations and all of them will feature powerful hardware that will position it as a direct competitor to the Apple iMac. A new range of accessories, including Surface Mouse and Surface Keyboard, is projected to see daylight at the show too and they will be bundled with the Surface PC, but will also be sold separately.

Full information will obviously be provided during the event, but it appears that the next two weeks will be quite busy for Microsoft customers across the world.
