Microsoft has promoted the most recent Office for iOS insider improvements to devices in the production, which means that all Office 365 subscribers are now getting access to the latest update.

Updated to version 2.21, Office for iOS now comes with new tools for Word, Excel, and Outlook as part of the April release, and it goes without saying that Microsoft recommends everyone to install the latest build as soon as possible.

First and foremost, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel are both getting options to rotate, resize, and add color to SVG images in documents and worksheets. Microsoft says this feature is also being offered for presentations, but for some reason, PowerPoint isn’t listed as supported just yet.

Additionally, those who rely on Microsoft Excel for working with spreadsheets are provided with two different substantial improvements. For instance, Excel now lets Office subscribers use functions like SUM, COUNT, and AVERAGE, all of which are already available on the PC, but which were missing from the iOS flavor of the productivity suite.

Excel is also getting easier access to contextual commands like expanding the selection, sort, filter, and others, and this should really come in handy on devices with small displays like iPhones.

When it comes to Microsoft Outlook, there are two different big changes coming in this month’s update rollout. One of them is a notification that shows up whenever it’s the time to leave for an appointment, and the information is displayed based on your current location and the place where you have to go, but also by analyzing traffic data between the two points.

The other is support for folders and groups favorites, which makes it easier to access the items that you use the most often.

These improvements are available for Office 365 subscribers right now, and Office apps need to be updated to version 2.21 to get them.
