Microsoft is one of the first major games developer and publisher to confirm its presence at Gamescom 2021. The game event’s opening will be hosted by Geoff Keighley and streamed live on August 25 at 11 am PT / 7 pm BST / 8 pm CEST.

Microsoft’s Xbox Stream will be held a day early on August 24 at 10 am PT / 6 pm BST / 7 pm CEST and will be hosted by Parris Lilly and Kate Yeager. Think of the show as a warmup for what to come on the next day.

To set our expectation to the correct level and avoid being disappointed, Microsoft confirmed that there will be no new games shown at the event. However, we’ll be getting in-depth updates from some of the company’s previously announced Xbox Game Studios titles alongside some of Microsoft’s third-party partners, including some titles coming to Xbox this holiday, upcoming releases to Xbox Game Pass, and much more.

The show can be watched on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Gaming, and Twitter. Equally important is the fact that the stream will feature support for no less than 30 languages, along with Microsoft’s English Audio Descriptions and American Sign Language.

On a side note, Microsoft confirmed that Bethesda Germany will have its own livestream program over several days, starting August 26, so those who want to watch it can tune it to the developer’s official Twitch channel.

Last but not least, Microsoft announced that during Gamescom 2021, it will run a digital Xbox sale for its fans in Europe. Gamers will be able to score savings of up to 75 percent on a wide range of popular games for Xbox consoles or PC. More details about the promotion will be made available closer to the show, so stay tuned for more on this one.
