You pick the next “Solitaire” for modern Windows

Solitaire was undoubtedly the number one productivity waster in Windows a decade ago, and now that Windows 10 is up for grabs for everyone, Microsoft’s looking to create a game that’s at least as addictive as the famous card game.

As a result, the company’s inviting users to choose which should be the next game to be created by the Microsoft Casual Games team, and is giving them five different options: Chess, Bubble, Casino, Hearts, and Word. The more votes a specific game has, the bigger the chances to see it going live very soon.

“For the first time in history, Microsoft Casual Games is collaborating with our fans on product and development choices. We’re not just allowing the community to read about what’s going on, but we are actually involving the community to vote on which games we should make next and provide feedback on how to improve the overall game features,” Microsoft explains.

Try out early versions of the games

Just as it did with Windows 10, Microsoft is also launching a preview program to allow users to try out early versions of the games it’s looking to create.

This time, the effort is called “Microsoft Casual Games Inner Circle” and allows you to get early access to exclusive builds, help choose the next features to be developed, get behind-the-scenes info, and work directly with the development team on these games.

“Our first, big initiative is to allow everyone to vote on which casual game we should make next. We started with a list of games that people had requested we make over the years and we whittled it down to the top 5. We opened voting recently and we’ve seen an incredible response so far,” the Microsoft Casual Games team adds.

Voting will be closed on December 17, so you have less than a week to express your choice. Go here and vote the next game that will ruin your productivity at work in 2016.
