The Windows Insider program continues after the public debut of Windows 10 for PCs, but Microsoft is now a little bit more focused on the mobile version, as it accelerates work on the project to get it ready for the launch in October (unconfirmed yet).

Gabriel Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, has again confirmed today that a new Windows 10 build for mobile devices is coming soon, but has provided no other details to explain what “soon” actually means.

It's believed, however, that the public launch of a new Windows 10 Mobile build could take place as soon as this week, as new versions of the operating system have already been spotted in some parts of the world.

Plenty of builds coming in the next months

Microsoft will adopt for Windows 10 Mobile pretty much the same strategy as for the PC version, bringing many more builds out for testing now that the project is reaching its final stages of development.

One month before the launch of Windows 10 for PCs, Microsoft released three new builds in just a few days, trying to fix as many bugs as possible and improve performance of the existing features.

The same strategy is very likely to be adopted for phones too, but the next few builds will probably bring several major changes, including not only bug fixes but also feature additions and new options that would greatly enhance the operating system.

Windows 10 Mobile is projected to launch in late September or October and will be showcased on new flagships developed by Microsoft itself.

Microsoft is yet to confirm all these details, but the launch of Windows 10 Mobile will certainly take place sometime in the next few months, so it'll be a very busy period for insiders and the company's Windows development team alike ahead of the grand debut of the new smartphone OS.
