Micromax has recently launched its flagship smartphone, the Canvas 5, in India, but the Canvas series has gotten even bigger with the release of Canvas Blaze 4G+.

The new smartphone is the sequel to Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G that was introduced in India a few months ago. According to a new report, the affordable handset is now available for purchase via eBay India for Rs 6,199 ($95 / €85) outright.

The Canvas Blaze 4G+ is a budget-friendly device aimed at those who've never owned a smartphone before or customers who want access to 4G LTE data speed but can't afford to pay for a more expensive handset.

As the name suggests, the smartphone comes with 4G LTE support, but also offers dual-SIM and many other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.

A decent option for customers who need a cheap 4G phone

Software-wise, Micromax Canvas Blaze 4G+ comes preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, which is quite decent for such a cheap smartphone.

Inside, the affordable device includes a 64-bit 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor, a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit, and 1GB of RAM.

The Canvas Blaze 4G+ packs only 8GB of storage, but users can expand internal memory up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Also, the smartphone sports a rather disappointing 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution.

On the back, Micromax Canvas 4G+ packs an 8-megapixel shooter with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, while on the front there's a secondary modest 2-megapixel camera.

All of the above are kept alive by a 1,750mAh battery that should provide enough juice for a few days of continuous usage.

That's about all you get from this cheap Micromax smartphone, but we didn't expect anything fancier in terms of specs.
