It looks like Micromax has another cheap Android smartphone in the pipeline, the Canvas Pace 4G. The device is already listed on the company's official website, but there's no word on availability and price yet.

Even though the smartphone hasn't been officially introduced yet, we expect the Canvas Pace 4G to be on the very cheap side of the entry-level category.

Judging by the specs listed on Micromax's website, the only strong points of the handset are Android 5.1 Lollipop and 4G LTE support.

Aside from that, Micromax Canvas Pace 4G packs the standard specs of a budget-friendly smartphone. For example, the device comes equipped with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, an Adreno 304 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Also, the entry-level handset packs only 8GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Not too appealing for the Indian market

As mentioned earlier, it runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and supports 4G LTE Cat. 4 (up to 150Mbps download speed, up to 50Mbps upload speed).

On the downside, Micromax Canvas Pace 4G sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution.

At the back, the handset features a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, whereas in the front, there's a modest 2-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

Connectivity-wise, Micromax Canvas Pace 4G offers dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS.

It's also worth mentioning that the Canvas Pace 4 is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery that is rated by Micromax for up to 375 hours of standby time or up to 9 hours of talk time.

Since the smartphone comes preloaded with Flipkart's application, there's a high chance that this will be another exclusive.
