Indian OEM Micromax has just announced 15 new smartphones that will be available for purchase in the country in the coming days.

One of the most important products announced recently in India, Micromax Canvas 6 Pro is a flagship smartphone that costs only Rs 13,999 ($210) outright, TheTecholic reports. The smartphone will be available in black color only.

Potential customers can already pre-order the Canvas 6 Pro in India, but Micromax hasn’t yet announced when it will start selling the smartphone.

In order to keep the price of the smartphone on the low side, Micromax decided to include a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor inside, instead of a Snapdragon 820 CPU.

Furthermore, Canvas 6 Pro packs a powerful enough PowerVR G6200 graphics processing unit and no less than 4GB of RAM. Also, the flagship packs 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Micromax Canvas 6 Pro sports a decent 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) laminated IPS capacitive touchscreen display, which features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Sadly, it comes with Lollipop inside

Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Micromax has decided to put Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and Around UI inside, although Google released Marshmallow a long time ago. The Indian company has yet to confirm whether or not it will provide an Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade for Canvas 6 Pro.

At the back, the flagship packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with phase-detection autofocus, LED flash and video recording, whereas at the front there’s a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity-wise, Micromax Canvas 6 Pro offers both LTE and dual-SIM support, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0, 3.5mm audio jack, and GPS with AGPS. Last but not least, the Canvas 6 Pro will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
