Large, round main camera and Motorola logo on the back

Motorola had quite a prolific year, as the US-based handset maker launched many Android smartphones in the last couple of months.

But, since we can't get enough of Motorola's products, the company is already working on its next high-end smartphone, the Moto X (4th Gen).

The first ever live picture showing the back side of the alleged Moto X (4th Gen) has just popped up in China (via Mobilissimo), and for the first time it looks like Motorola is going to take a different approach when it comes to design material.

Another premium high-end smartphone is more than welcomed

The Moto X (4th Gen) looks like it's completely made of metal with a unibody design and non-removable battery. The large, round camera on the back includes an LED flash (possibly dual-tone), but there's also the Motorola logo below the rear-facing photo snapper.

Near the bottom of the back cover, there's a loudspeaker grill and one of the mics the Moto X (4th Gen) will feature. We also get a glimpse at the right side of the phone, which apparently features two volume keys and the lock/power button.

If you like what you see, then don't get your hopes too high since this is just a prototype unit, so Motorola might still change the overall design of the upcoming Moto X (4th Gen).

Unfortunately, the leaked picture doesn't come with any details regarding the smartphone's specs, so we're still in the dark here.

However, if we are to speculate, the Moto X (4th Gen) can't come on the market without a powerful CPU like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and at least 3GB of RAM.

It remains to be seen whether or not Motorola will decide to go with a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display once again, or put a standard full HD (1080p) screen inside the Moto X (4th Gen).
