Previous reports claimed it would come with a flat screen

Fans of dual-edge curved displays can add another possible phone to the list of devices packing their favorite kind of screen, the Meizu Pro 7. Initially rumored to be unveiled in December, the Chinese flagship smartphone is still MIA and will probably remain so until the new Snapdragon 835 CPU becomes widely available commercially.

As many of you probably know by now, Samsung has exclusivity over the chipset until after the Galaxy S8 goes on sale, which is supposed to happen in late April. All flagships that will be released on the market by that time will include different processors made by other chip makers.

The Meizu Pro 7 is rumored to pack either Huawei's Kirin 960 chipset or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 CPU. In fact, it's said that there might be two versions of the flagship, each packing different processors inside.

If the rumors prove to be accurate, then we might see the Meizu Pro 7 on the market much earlier than Samsung's Galaxy S8. However, today's report highlights one of the features that we weren't aware of, the dual-edge curved display.

The Home button indicates Meizu doesn't favor rear-mounted fingerprint sensors

Previous reports claimed the Meizu Pro 7 would feature a borderless design and a 5.62-inch flat screen with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

Now, a picture of the alleged Meizu Pro 7 has just leaked directly from China and it shows a completely different reality.

First of all, the smartphone does not feature a borderless design. Secondly, it sports a dual-edge curved display, which, apparently, has become the norm for all respectful smartphone makers.

We've also noticed that the Meizu Pro 7 will come with a physical Home button, which is probably meant to hide the fingerprint sensor.

No other details about the phone came with the photo, so we're still in the dark as to what features Meizu plans to include inside to surprise customers.
