14 DAY TRIAL // Meizu's M2 Note phablet went on pre-order last month for $175 (€157), but the smartphone was only available in China. Even though we expected Meizu to make the M2 Note available in other countries as well, we had no idea that would happen so soon.
Officially unveiled back in June, Meizu M2 Note is now available for purchase in India for only Rs 9,999 ($155 / €135), which makes it quite a good deal considering its specs. Potential customers should know though that the M2 Note is only available via Amazon India.
It's unclear for how long the partnership between Meizu and Amazon will last, but for now, the only place where customers can grab the M2 Note is Amazon India.
Moving on to specs, the Meizu M2 Note is a mid-range phablet that ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Flyme 4.5 OS on top.
It comes with a Back key that doubles as Home button, too
Hardware-wise, the phablet is equipped with a decent 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, a Mali-T720 MP3 graphics processing unit, and 2GB of RAM.
Also, the smartphone packs 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB. Keep in mind, though, that the second SIM slot is used as microSD expansion card, so it's either the dual-SIM feature or more storage that you can opt for.
Meizu M2 Note sports a large 5.5-inch IGZO capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. It also comes with a 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.
In the front, there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies. The M2 Note is powered by a non-removable 3,100 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
It's also worth mentioning that the M2 Note offers multiple connectivity options, including LTE, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, GPS with AGPS support, and Bluetooth 4.0.
