A revamped UI and new feature coming to Sticky Notes

Sticky Notes has become an increasingly more popular app these days on Windows 10, and Microsoft apparently knows this very well.

So the company not only that added support for Sticky Notes on other platforms – on Android, for example, Sticky Notes is bundled with Microsoft Launcher, but the software giant is also working on a series of improvements that could soon make their way to everyone.

Italian site Aggionarmenti Lumia has discovered an update for Sticky Notes that’s currently in the works, and by the looks of things, there’s a lot that Microsoft is currently working on for this app.

More specifically, it looks like the software company is refreshing the Sticky Notes interface with a more modern look that allows users to expand each note and open it separately.

Hello, Sticky Notes tags!

But what I think is even more useful is support for tags, which essentially means that users should be able to better manage their notes.

Support for tags is a super-important improvement for hardcore Sticky Notes users, especially when more than just a handful of notes are created in the app. Just imagine that instead of scrolling or searching for a specific note, you can just look for a specific note in a dedicated category that’s based on a tag, so it’s a lot easier to keep track of everything that you store in Sticky Notes.

I, for one, need tags because I’m saving unrelated notes all the time, so by simply adding a tag at the end of each note, I should then be able to group them much easier. Tags are an easy way to create categories, and hopefully Microsoft will also update the search feature with support for tags.

For the time being, it’s not known when this new feature is supposed to go live, as the development is still under way at this point.
