A new trailer that shows us almost nothing is out

Mass Effect: Andromeda is the next installment in the Mass Effect franchise, and it’s supposed to arrive in December 2016. Very little is known about the game, but Bioware is slowly closing the gaps in our knowledge. A new teaser has been released, and it’s a really sad one.

Bioware created a very memorable character, the famous Commander Sheppard. They managed to build one of the best sci-fi series in the past decade, and when the adventures of Sheppard ended with Mass Effect 3, it left an empty space that will be very hard to fill.

The studio knows that it must deliver another memorable character, and that won’t be easy. It took a team of writers and a few hit and misses, but we won’t forget the original Mass Effect anytime soon.

From the little information that has been imparted by the developers, we know that Commander Sheppard will not have any kind of role in the game, and a new teaser is here to remind us of that.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is in another galaxy

The name of the game is not chosen out of a whim. It looks like the players will indeed go to Andromeda, which actually makes a lot of sense considering that things ended up pretty badly in our galaxy. It also points out that at least Commander Sheppard is alive during the events of Andromeda, or at least we can hope so.

“With our N7 Day celebration video, we’re excited to share a glimpse into the future, while also reflecting on the past. We invite you to be a part of the community experience all weekend long by using the hashtag #N7Day,” wrote the community manager for Bioware.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is scheduled for a release in December 2016 and that sounds like a long time. Bioware chose to reveal it early in the production, so we’ll have to wait.
