The Iron Man VR game was announced during Sony's first State of Play presentation back in late March, but a release timing hasn't been revealed at that time. Developed by Camouflaj, the same studio that gave us Republique, Marvel's Iron Man VR game won't be launched this year, as previously rumored.

Today, Brendan Murphy, the lead writer on Marvel's Iron Man VR announced that the game will be releasing exclusively for PlayStation VR on February 28, 2020. After a 3-year development cycle, the Iron Man VR game promises to deliver Super Hero action and Flying in VR, paired with a heartfelt, original story about Tony Stark.

Developers chose Ghost as Iron Man's main antagonist in the upcoming game, an all-time classic super Villain. Players of the game will be in for some interesting surprises, as Ghost can interface directly with the VR headset, making her hacking abilities affect the player directly.

Voice actor Josh Keaton will be playing Tony Stark in Iron Man VR, but other iconic characters from the Marvel universe will appear in the game too, including Nick Fury, Pepper Potts, and Friday.

In addition to announcing the release game of the game, the developers also revealed some pre-order bonuses for those who want to pre-purchase Marvel's Iron Man VR. First off, it's worth mentioning that the Standard Edition of the game will be available for $40, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will cost $50 and will include 4 Deluxe Edition Deco Armors (Golden Avenger, Black Centurion, Sun Stinger, Stealth Armor), 12 Research Points, Digital Deluxe Soundtrack and Digital Deluxe Edition Iron Man PS4 theme.

Regardless of which one you pre-order, you'll be receiving a code to download the following at launch: 4 Custom Armor Decon (Origin Armor, Vintage Armor, Silver Centurion Armor, Ultraviolet Armor), and Marvel's Iron Man VR Dynamic PS4 theme. Those who decide to pre-purchase the game from PlayStation Store will also receive a free month trial to Marvel Unlimited and get a chance to read up on the comics that inspired the game.
