Ever Forward is the name of the next game coming from Pathea Games, the developer behind the critically-acclaimed My Time at Portia sandbox RPG. Unlike their previous game, Ever Forward is a 3D adventure puzzle that tells the story of a girl, Maya.

The otherworldly landscapes shown in the trailer emphasize the idea that Maya is lost in a strange world between reality and imagination. Ever Forward shapes up to be another emotional journey for those who love exploration games sprinkled with puzzles.

In Ever Forward, Maya must solve puzzles to unlock her memories and confront her fears to unravel the secrets of the strange world. The game will put your observation skills and intelligence to the test, as one of Ever Forward's key features is the puzzles.

It looks like developers have come up with some of the craziest puzzles after working for more than three years on the game. If you feel up to the task and deeply challenged and motivated to solve a hard to crack puzzle, Ever Forward is the game you want to play. More importantly, some puzzles can be solved in multiple ways, which allows those who think differently to find the solution on their own.

And then there's the art of Ever Forward, which is full of bright colors and futuristic tones to fit the world between reality and imagination theme and to simulate the absurd nature of the fictional world.

As far as gameplay mechanics go, there isn't much to talk about. You'll be moving and jumping from one place to another by walking, but there are some parts of the game where you'll be able to teleport and make use of gravity controls. Stealth and observational skills will also be required to successfully navigate each puzzle.

Ever Forward will be released for PC during early summer, while the console version (PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch) will arrive in late fall. Also, a demo will be released on PC in the next few weeks, but you can already wishlist the game on Steam.
