The development team at EA Sports is announcing that it is launching a major new update for the Ultimate Team mode in Madden NFL 16, which is designed to prepare the American football simulation for the coming playoffs while delivering a range of new content for gamers who have been playing it since August.

Fans will be able to get access to a range of new special Gold and Elite players that can be recruited for their teams, reflecting the way their real world counterparts have evolved during the matches played as part of the regular season.

Madden NFL 16 is also getting new season veterans for the Redemption set and dual style Solo Challenges, and Master Set are being introduced as part of the new Road to the Playoffs content.

The official announcement explains, "The path traveled is an experience, but more important is The Journey it takes to get there. Players, coaches, and teams all go through a journey on their way to the ultimate prize! Your Second Journey will be filled with crazy last minute finishes and treacherous weather conditions! Endure the Journey 2 and be rewarded with a 91 overall, rookie stand out Amari Cooper with Dual Styles! "

Road to the Playoffs players and Road Sign collectibles are also introduced to Madden NFL 16, allowing gamers who get more cards and a 94 overall player.

The Ultimate Team mode is also getting access to special MVPs for each team, the players who have the leadership skills and the skill to lead their teams to the Super Bowl.

A special version of Tom Brady is added to Madden NFL 16

Gamers who manage to put together four team MVP collectibles, one Traffic Master, five Season Master cards, one Dual Style collectible and ten elite badges will be able to get access to a version of Tom Brady with an overall rating of 96 as well as 250,000 coins to use as they see fit.

Deployment for the Road to the Playoffs content for Madden NFL 16 will take place all through the week, with gamers able to access all the new content during the weekend.

The developers at EA Sports might also soon deliver a new title update for the simulation to improve gameplay mechanics, although no information on what tweaks might be implemented.

The studio will also soon offer a look at its predictions for the playoff matches, using the power of the Madden NFL 16 engine to predict which teams will be able to make it to the Super Bowl.

As the real world football season moves into its most important period, EA Sports will organize more events linked to Ultimate Team to keep the community engaged.

The mode has emerged as the most attractive one in the long-term for both Madden NFL 16 and for FIFA 16, the main two sports titles that Electronic Arts publishes.

The revenue stream the feature creates allows development teams to continue to improve the games and deliver new content for free for a long period.
