Windows Phone fans are probably happy that Lumia 950 XL is almost all the time sold out online, but that's less likely to happen for those who were anxious to get one and didn't manage to place their orders on Microsoft Store US website.

Although Microsoft announced that the Lumia 950 XL would be exclusively available in the US at its online and brick and mortar stores, it looks like the Redmond-based company wasn't prepared with enough stock for such a high demand.

As expected, Lumia 950 XL went on sale earlier today, November 25 on Microsoft Store US website, but it was sold out in just several hours.

Now the only thing you can do is register your email to be notified when the smartphones become available for purchase once again.

It's also worth mentioning that all Lumia 950 XL orders will ship by December 11, so don't expect to receive your devices this month unless you're lucky.

Hopefully, there will be enough stock for all customers

In case you missed the opportunity to order the Lumia 950 XL online, your next option would be get one from Microsoft's retail stores.

According to the company, the smartphone will arrive at selected Microsoft Store locations on November 26.

The good news is some US Microsoft Stores are already selling the Lumia 950 XL starting today, November 25. Keep in mind that not all store locations are offering the Windows 10 flagship smartphone at the moment, so you better call first to make sure you can get one.

Another interesting piece of information comes via WindowsCentral. According to some customers who already received their Lumia 950 XL devices, Microsoft is selling the dual-SIM version of the phone in the United States.

Obviously, this comes in handy if you want to use the two SIM cards, but hate carrying around more than one mobile phone.

Have you managed to purchase the hard-to-come-by Lumia 950 XL yet? Why do you think the Lumia 950 XL stock is sold out so fast online?
