Microsoft has just opened Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL pre-orders in several European countries, but other retailers in Europe are now offering the smartphones for sale.

Most of them promise to deliver the device in late November or early December, so customers will still have to wait a few more weeks for the new Windows 10 Mobile handsets.

Unfortunately, customers in the US haven't been given the opportunity to pre-order the Lumia 950 or Lumia 950 XL in their country. Microsoft listed both smartphones on its online store, but they aren't available for pre-order yet.

The good news is at least one major retailer in the US has just opened Lumia 950/950 XL pre-orders, WindowsCentral reports.

Windows Phone fans in the US anxious to pre-order either of the two high-end Lumia smartphones will be pleased to know that B&H Photo is now offering them for decent prices.

Pre-orders will be delivered beginning mid-December

The Lumia 950 is available for pre-order for $550 while the Lumia 950 XL has been priced at $630. Basically, this means that B&H Photo sells both smartphones slightly cheaper than Microsoft, which recommends $600 and $700 retail prices for the Lumia phones.

The bad news is B&H Photos expects to start shipping the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL no earlier than December 15. These shipping dates are usually subject to change, so we sincerely hope that customers in the US who pre-order their Lumias from B&H Photos will be able to get them earlier.

It's unclear exactly when Microsoft will open pre-orders for Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL through its online store, but it's worth mentioning that AT&T will be selling the former too.

According to the latest rumors, both Lumia phones should hit shelves in the US in November, but an exact release date hasn't been confirmed yet.
