Google Chromebooks are becoming more and more popular these days, and the Mountain View-based search giant certainly knows how to attract a growing number of users.

The company is providing Chromebook owners with a series of perks, and more recently, the company has started offering free 100 GB Google One storage to a number of customers.

The free storage is available for just one year though, and it must be claimed by January 31.

Google doesn’t provide too many details as to who gets the free storage and who doesn’t, but the perk can only be claimed from a supported Chromebook when you are logged in with a Google account.

“Get Google One with 100 GB of storage and other exclusive benefits for 12 months with Chromebook,” Google says.

Other Chromebooks perks

There are a few other perks that Chromebook owners are being provided with, including 100 GB of Dropbox storage for 12 months.

By default, all Google accounts come with 15 GB of free storage space across all services. However, Google One, which starts at 100 GB, provides you with additional storage in exchange for a monthly or annual fee, while also coming with a series of benefits, such as options to add your family members, access to Google support, as well as what Google calls extra member benefits.

“Benefits vary by country and are always changing, so check the Google One website for the latest or talk to a Google expert if you’re a member. Some examples of benefits include member rewards on the Google Store, Google Play credits and preferred pricing on select hotels found in Google Search.,” Google says.

The 100 GB plan is available with a $1.99 fee per month or a $19.99 one-year subscription. There are two more plans that customers can purchase, namely 200 GB and 2 TB storage, with the latter available for $99.99 per year.
