There’s no better time to buy a house, especially if you’re looking for a place with something really special, as Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella is selling his for about $3.4 million (€3.2 million).

Nadella’s house in Clyde Hill, Washington, was built in 1963, but he only purchased it nearly 20 years ago for approximately $1.3 million (€1.1 million). The house has since been renovated and looks absolutely stunning, with direct views of Lake Washington, Mt. Olympus, and the Seattle cityscape.

LA Times reports that the house has “an industrial vibe with polished concrete and ceramic floors, vaulted ceilings and exposed steel beams,” and in order to benefit from the aforementioned beautiful views, Nadella installed windows that go from floor to ceiling.

CEO since February 2014

The house, which covers 4,050 square feet (375 square meters), has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two fireplaces, one office/library space over the living room, and an eat-in kitchen.

As you can see in the gallery photo below, the house is modernly decorated and has beautiful panoramas, so it’s no wonder that Nadella is selling it for more than double the price he paid when he purchased the building nearly two decades ago.

In case you’re wondering how come the CEO of the world’s number one software giant affords such an expensive place, find out that Nadella received $84.3 million (€77.5 million) in 2014, part of which was offered in stock. Nadella had a salary of $918,917 (€844,981) for the year, but he also received a bonus of $3.6 million (€3.31 million).

Satya Nadella is Microsoft’s new CEO since February 2014, and he had previously worked as head of the cloud division at the company. Steve Ballmer, the former CEO of the software giant, has a net worth of $22.7 billion and is currently number 21 on the list of richest men in the world.
