Here's what's new in Linux kernel 3.18.35 LTS

Looking at the diff from the previous maintenance update, we can notice that Linux kernel 3.18.35 LTS addresses several issues for some popular filesystems, including Btrfs, EXT4, CIFS, and XFS. It also improves support for the MIPS, PowerPC (PPC), x86, SPARC, ARM, and AArch64 (ARM 64-bit) instruction set architectures, and updates numerous drivers.

Among the updated drivers, we can notice those for things like ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface), Bluetooth, CPUIdle, Crypto, DMA, GPU (Intel i915 and GMA500), IRQ Chip, MCB, MFD, MMC, MTD, networking (Atheros ath5k and ath9k, as well as Realtek wireless drivers), PCI, PINCTRL, SCSI, Thunderbolt, TTY, USB, and Xen.

If you are using a Linux kernel-based operating system powered by kernel packages from the long-term supported Linux 3.18 branch, you are urged to update to version 3.18.35 as soon as possible, or as soon as it lands in the main repos of your distribution. OS vendors and kernel maintainers can download the Linux kernel 3.18.35 LTS sources right now via our website or directly from kernel.org.
