Lindsay Lohan says she wants to make an acting comeback but she draws the line at Burger King commercials

Lindsay Lohan hasn’t had a major role since she played Elizabeth Taylor in the hilariously bad Lifetime biopic “Liz & Dick” in 2012, and she’s not exactly “in demand” with studio executives. She’s also believed to be living at the mercy of her rich male “friends” because she’s broke, but that’s not making her any less proud.

She considers herself too fine an actress to do a Burger King commercial in which she would have had to play a spoof of herself in real life, so she turned down a very lucrative offer, Page Six reports.

Too proud, but poor

The report is sourced to the usual unnamed “insiders” close to Lindsay, which could either mean that she’s still surrounded by fake friends who have no qualms about selling her to the media, or that it’s not really that reliable.

You choose what to believe about it.

Apparently, Lohan was approached just recently by the fast food giant and offered an endorsement deal that would have saved her a lot of money troubles, at least for a good while. What she didn’t like about it was the fact that she was supposed to make fun of herself.

One insider claims that she found the whole idea of doing a commercial for Burger King offensive, since she’s a talented actress, the likes of her idol Liz Taylor.

Another adds that it was the mocking tone of the ad that offended her, because she doesn’t have a sense of humor when it comes to her past troubles, including drinking, doing drugs, wild partying and chain smoking.

“The flame-haired actress was asked to wear a Spicy Chicken Fries box, smoke a chicken fry like a cigarette, and vamp a ‘spicy’ monologue,” the report says of the concept behind the ad.

Too much of a diva, an impossible partner in any deal

And then there’s a third insider that tells Page Six that Lohan was unhappy with the idea for the video and asked to have it changed so it would suit her fancy. She wasn’t as much offended by it but rather she wanted “creative control,” so she started acting like a diva.

Burger King was looking for a celebrity to put in their new ads, not a new longtime partner who would provide them with feedback on something they had already decided.

So they ruled her too much of a nuisance, decided she wasn’t worth the trouble and dumped her.

If this report is accurate, whatever Lindsay did, she tossed the chance to make some money. Seeing how she has no project lined up for the future, any kind of work would have been good for her, especially if she’s serious about that comeback she’s been threatening us with for years.
