14 DAY TRIAL // Lindsay Lohan’s acting career may have hit the skids but she’s not afraid to dream big. Now living in London full time because she found the attention she got from the paparazzi and the media in both LA and NYC too much, Lohan is ready to make her comeback into the spotlight, big time.
No, she’s not about to blow our minds with a movie performance the kind she hasn’t delivered in years, and no, she’s not about to use the attention she still gets to become more involved in charity. She will do something bigger and better: she will run for President of the United States in 2020. Maybe.
Lindsay Lohan has political aspirations
After real estate mogul Donald Trump, who’s thrown his hat in the ring for the 2016 elections and who’s actually doing quite well in the polls despite what his detractors said would happen, rapper Kanye West was the next celebrity to announce his candidacy.
However, he admitted he wasn’t yet ready for the job, so he threw his name in the 2020 race. Based on Lohan’s most recent 2 Instagram posts, she found that terribly inspiring - so much so that she’s willing to give Kanye a run for his money.
“Fun” is the last word you’d associate with politics, but celebrity pundits can’t help but imagine the fun they’d have if these two did run for the highest office in the country. Their statements on their platforms alone would be a delight to last for days.
Lohan wants to do good
While the Internet would certainly have a blast with Lindsay and Kanye in the 2020 Presidential race, chances are we’re only going to see the rapper give it a try. He insists he’s dead-serious about the challenge at hand, but as of now, is yet to say what he aims to achieve if he becomes President.
Lindsay is a bit more practical in this sense, already announcing on social media her first measure when she becomes President: she wants to “take care of all the children suffering in the world,” just like Queen Elizabeth of England took care of her when she moved to the country. The jokes practically write themselves here.
On the other hand, Lindsay has been known to post the most ridiculous things on her Instagram, from her rants after she was banned from prestigious film festivals like TIFF 2015, to her hilariously bad Photoshopped selfies and the accompanying posts about embracing her flaws and body acceptance.
Running for President in 2020 might sound like a lot of fun for everyone, from a celebrity gossip point of view, but it probably won’t happen.
