14 DAY TRIAL // LG did not want to wait for MWC's debut and announced the upcoming availability of another mid-range Android smartphone, the LG X Power 2. The new handset will be showcased at the trade fair between February 27 and March 2, so visitors will be able to try it out.
What sets the LG X Power 2 apart from other mid-range smartphones is the massive 4,500 mAh battery (non-removable), which is rated for up to 15 hours of video playback, 18 hours of internet browsing, or 14 hours of navigational directions.
On top of that, LG has announced that its new smartphone packs fast charging technology, so a one-hour charge should provide 50% battery power. A full charge will require about two hours, which LG says it's “twice as fast as most phones.”
The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box and packs multiple connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB 2.0.
Hardware-wise, the LG X Power 2 is far from being impressive, as the phone is equipped with a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, coupled with either 1.5GB or 2GB RAM, as well as 16GB internal memory (expandable up to 2TB via microSD card).
LG X Power 2 sports a 5.5-inch display that supports HD (720p) resolution. It features a single-lens 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a secondary 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera with LED flash.

The entire X series is all about great technology and great value, both important features for today’s discerning smartphone customer,” said Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
According to LG, the X Power 2 will be available in Black Titan, Shiny Titan, Shiny Gold, and Shiny Blue. The smartphone will land in Latin America in March, but it will arrive in key markets in United States, Asia, Europe and other regions soon afterward.
