14 DAY TRIAL // LG has just announced a new smartphone in Japan, the LG V34 isai Beat. What’s interesting about this smartphone is that it has similar components to the V20, which makes it a compact version of the company’s flagship.
LG V34 isai Beat was announced in Japan and it seems that it might only be made available in that country. It’s exclusive to Au Japan carrier and will be launched in mid-November.
The V34 appears to come with a secondary display, a metal build, and the same curved design. The secondary display will be used for showing notifications, the date, hour and widgets to various applications.
The smartphone runs Snapdragon 820 chipset and comes with 4GB of RAM, just like the V20. In addition, it has 32GB of internal storage and dual-camera setups both on the front and back of the smartphone.

In addition, the phone comes with a 3,000mAh battery and has a quad-DAC audio technology. It is equipped with a 5.2-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, which makes it smaller than the V20, which featured a 5.7-inch screen.
Rear camera capacity reaches 16MP on the V34, with dual-LED flash and auto focus. The front camera has a capacity of 5MP for snapping selfies and conducting video calls.
One interesting feature that the V34 sports is the IP67 certification, which protects it against potential damages brought by water or dust. The V20 doesn’t even come with splash protection. The V34 will be made available in two color variants, Titanium and Gold.
Considering that the phone will be made available only in Japan, it will come with multiple connectivity options specific for the country, including WiMAX 2+, but regular LTE and VoLTE are provided as well. The V34 will also come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, just like the V20.
