Yesterday we told you that LG unveiled a new flagship model, called the V10, which comes with a secondary display living on top of the main screen. The phone looks quite sleek and features other interesting aspects like a manual video mode.

The other day when LG launched the phone, the company didn’t say anything about availability or pricing of the device, but luckily now we are able to come back to the story and provide you with this particular piece of information.

According to the Korean Herald, the phone is bound to release in LG’s home country, South Korea on October 8, after which it will gradually be rolled out around the globe. We can expect the phone to arrive in retail locations internationally by mid-November just in time for the holiday season.

In the US, major carriers like AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile have already been confirmed to be picking up the flagship and will be offering it with a $600+ / €537+ price-tag outright. So you better prepare your wallets, because the LG V10 isn’t going to be a cheap device.

LG V10 specs roundup

For those of you who missed the scoop on the LG V10, we’re taking the opportunity to remind you that the phone comes with a 5.7-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution with 513ppi. The secondary display is of the 2.1-inch variety with 160 x 1040 resolution, which also amounts to 513ppi.

A Snapdragon 808 processor is used to power the insides of the phone together with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (those who feel they need more can also increase up to 2TB via the embedded microSD card slot).

In the photography department, the phone is also pretty well equipped, coming out with a 16MP rear-facing camera featuring an f/1.8 aperture and OIS 2.0 included (optical image stabilization). The LG V10 is further equipped with a dual 5MP front-facing camera that allows you to capture 128-degree wide-angle selfies which LG calls “groufies.”

The new LG V10 smartphone is also the first handset of its kind to support a manual video mode that allows to control frame rate, shutter speed, white balance, ISO and focus. LG seems to have designed quite an interesting smartphone here, so keep an eye out for it in November when it comes out.
