One of the nicest surprises coming from LG, the V10 smartphone made its debut in South Korea back in October, but due to popularity, the handset maker decided to launch the device in other countries as well.

LG claims the V10 has MIL-STD-810G certification, which makes it shock resistant. Also, the 5.7-inch Quad HD display features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating, which offers even more protection against accidental drops.

But what's on paper doesn't always match the situations in real life, which is why the folks over at Digiato have decided to submit the LG V10 to a drop test and see how sturdy the smartphone really is.

The first drop on concrete left serious damage on the LG V10's bottom side, which is made of pure plastic. The upper side of the phone has a metal frame, so dropping the phone on that side won't leave too many scars on it.

The major problem was when the V10 was dropped with the display facing downwards. The bottom line is the 5.7-inch display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4 broke in many places.

The good news is the smartphone continues to be fully functional even though the display is completely broken.

Few things can stand against a heavy tank (clearly not a smartphone)

The main test that LG V10 passed is the 10m drop test. Even though it fell on the back side, it didn't shatter into pieces. The back cover remained closed, so the battery along with other components inside the phone didn't fall out after the smartphone hit the ground.

But the folks over at Digiato took it to the extreme and decided that having a 36-ton tank run over the LG V10 would be kind of fun, and it really is.

Suffice to say, the LG V10 was completely obliterated by the heavy Iranian tank. On the bright side, the V10 is sturdy enough to withstand 10m downfalls. Even if the display might break in the process, you will still be able to use the phone.
