LG is preparing to announce a new premium smartphone later this month and the company has been heavily teasing its key features. The latest teaser comes in the form of a video that hints towards the G6’s water resistance capabilities.

LG has said in multiple posts that the G6 will come with IP6x certification, but it’s unknown if the phone will have IP67 or IP68 certification against water and dust damages. The latest G6 teaser seems to exclusively highlight the phone’s protection against water, showing someone swimming across a pool.

The LG G6 moniker appears at the center of the video, together with the phone’s outline. Sadly, no other details are revealed in the teaser and we expect LG to release even more such promos until the phone is officially announced later this month.

5.7-inch Full Vision display and dual-camera setup on the back

This isn’t the only information that LG recently revealed about the new phone, its US page let out some more details about the G6. Consumers can head over to LG’s website and sign up to get more information about the phone.

The page reveals that the phone will come with a sleek full-metal body, improved fingerprint scanner and other premium elements. It’s expected to feature a 5.7-inch Full Vision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1440 x 2880 pixel resolution.

The 13MP dual-camera setup on the back would make it suitable for snapping stunning pictures, while the phone will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM. It’s said to have 32GB of internal storage and a 3,200mAh non-removable battery.

The G6 will have a USB Type-C port and run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, with LG UX 6.0 on top. The phone is also expected to have enhanced Quad DAC capabilities and Google Assistant integration. Much is known about the G6, except for its price which will be revealed on February 26.
