As expected, LG introduced its mid-range Android smartphone, the G4 Stylus in India. Even though this is a pure mid-range device, LG surely overpriced it so we doubt it will have any success in India where competition in the mid-range segment is pretty fierce.

Aside from the fact that it comes with a stylus, as the name suggests, LG G4 Stylus does not have anything that would make it stand out from other smartphones in the same price range.

The good news is the smartphone ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but there's no telling whether or not LG will offer an Android M update next year.

When it comes to hardware, the LG G4 Stylus is equipped with a 64-bit 1.4Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 graphics processing unit and just 1GB of RAM.

Even though the smartphone packs only 8GB of internal memory, users can further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Stylus and large 5.7-inch display

On the back, the mid-range Android smartphone features a 13-megapixel photo snapper with Laser autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's as secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

LG G4 Stylus sports a large 5.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, which could be another differentiator factor over other mid-range Android devices in India.

Last but not least, the smartphone comes with dual-SIM and 4G LTE support, as well as a 3,000 mAh removable batteyr.

Potential customers can now grab the LG G4 Stylus in either Metallic Silver or Floral White for no less than Rs 24,990 outright, which is about $395 or €360.

“The G4 Stylus is a perfect example of what we mean by a premium smartphone experience without a premium price. This smartphone not only delivers performance, but also looks great while doing so.

“At LG, we are always committed towards providing a great value to our consumers and with G4 Stylus we are doing exactly that,” said Mr. Deepak Jasrotia, business head, LG Mobiles India.
