LG and AT&T have just announced they have teamed up once again to offer customers yet another Android tablet, the G Pad X 10.1.
The slate will be available for purchase online beginning September 4 while in retail stores it will arrive on September 11.
Customers will be able to pick this one up in Brilliant Bronze for $17.50 per month for 20 months with an AT&T Tablet Installment Plan.
In addition, customers will be able to add the tablet to a new or existing Mobile Share Value Plan for an additional $10 per month access charge. Customers will also have the option to purchase the LG G Pad X 10.1 for $250 with a new two-year agreement.
When it comes to specs, the G Pad X 10.1 and G Pad II that will be presented in just a few days at IFA 2015 seem to pack similar features.
Obsolete chipset with Lollipop in tow
According to AT&T, LG G Pad X 10.1 will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. In addition, the tablet will be powered by an old 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.
It's also worth mentioning that the tablet features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and video recording while in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for selfies.
As the name suggests, LG's tablet sports a 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. LG G Pad X 10.1 is powered by a 7,400 mAh removable battery and features microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB).
“As one of the first tablets to offer the DIRECTV app already installed, the LG G Pad X 10.1 is a game-changer for entertainment. With the G Pad X 10.1 you can walk out of an AT&T store watching your favorite shows on DIRECTV, before the service is even installed in your home.
“Combining this with a high speed processor, Full HD screen, and the nation’s most reliable 4G LTE network, the G Pad X 10.1 is a comprehensive mobile entertainment system at an affordable price,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Device Marketing and Developer Services, AT&T.
