LG has a decent lineup of Android tablets that customers can now purchase, but the South Korean company wants to make it harder to choose the right slate for you.

With the introduction of LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE, the handset maker is now covering more size options since similar tablets with 8-inch and 10.1-inch displays are already available on the market.

The new G Pad II 8.3 LTE is a mid-range Android tablet that measures 216.8×126.5×8.8mm and weighs 366g (battery included).

Unusual for tablets of this size, the LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE comes with a stylus, which can be used to draw on the display, but also for other operations that require the use of such a piece of technology.

Hardware-wise, LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE has been refreshed with a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset. The tablet also packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

As the name suggests, the slate sports an 8.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution, but there's no Corning Gorilla Glass coating for extra protection.

Lollipop and Microsoft Office apps preloaded

On the back, LG's mid-range tablet features a decent 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus and video recording, but no LED flash. There's also a modest 2-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.

Obviously, it offers 4G LTE support among other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS. LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE is powered by a 4,800 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

When it comes to software, the G Pad II 8.3 LTE runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. It also comes with Microsoft Office apps preinstalled.

According to fonearena, there's no word on price yet, but we do know it will go on sale in South Korean on December 23.
