LG just couldn’t wait any longer and took the wraps of its first CES 2022 surprise today, with the company announcing its first-ever UltraGear gaming laptop.

The new high-end model sports a 17.3-inch FHD screen with 300Hz and 16:9 aspect ratio, though at 2.64 kilos, it’s not by any means a lightweight device.

Powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core processors and equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q GPU, this new LG laptop is supposed to let you enjoy the full gaming experience at the max settings even on the latest titles.

To do this, the laptop also comes with a maximum of 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB SSD storage.

Full launch at CES, sales to start in early 2022

The 93 Wh battery is the one to blame for the high weight of the laptop, though by making the device so heavy, LG was eventually capable of making the device packed with technology, including plenty of connectivity options, such as USB Type-C ports, HDMI, microSD, and RJ45.

“The LG UltraGear gaming laptop features an aluminum casing that offers style and durability, while the winged UltraGear badge on its exterior clearly communicates the power and quality LG’s premium gaming brand is known for,” LG explains.

“The LG UltraGear gaming laptop ensures immersive, fluid gameplay for even the most graphically demanding PC games thanks to the latest top-of-the-line hardware. Also, LG’s cooling system with vapor chamber keeps the laptop running cool, even when pushed to the limits.”

The company hasn’t announced the pricing information just yet, but the device is projected to be officially unveiled next month at CES before going on sale in the United States and South Korea in early 2022. LG says the laptop will also become available in other markets at a later time.
