Great news for Android fans in India, as Chinese company LeTV confirmed plans to enter the Indian market with several of its most popular smartphones.

The first to arrive in India is the company's flagship smartphone, the LeTV Max, which packs a massive display and a powerful processor, fonearena reports.

LeTV Max will be officially introduced in India on January 5, but it will only go on sale one or two weeks later for a price to be unveiled close to launch.

But the Max won't be the only smartphone LeTV plans to debut in India. Additional new devices will be unveiled in India in the coming months, along with some “entertainment content.”

LeTV Max is a real beast regarding specs, as the phablet boasts a massive 6.33-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

Android 5.0 Lollipop based EUI and fingerprint sensor

The smartphone comes equipped with a powerful 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.

Moreover, LeTV Max packs either 64GB or 128GB of internal memory, depending on the model. There's no microSD card slot for memory expansion, but the default storage you get should be enough for a flagship smartphone.

At the back, the phone features an impressive 21-megapixel camera that includes a Sony IMX230 sensor, autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, OIS (optical image sensor), dual ISP support and 4K video recording.

There's also a secondary 4-megapixel camera in the front that features an OmniVision OV4688 sensor and full HD (1080p) video recording.

LeTV Max offers both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support, but also Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C port, GPS with AGPS support and NFC (Near Field Communication).

The bad news is the huge phablet is powered by a rather small 3,400 mAh battery, which might not be enough to provide enough juice for more than 1 or 2 days of continuous usage.
