14 DAY TRIAL // LeTV is a relatively new player in the smartphone business, but the Chinese company has managed to surprise the media with a lineup of very interesting devices.
The latest addition to LeTV's lineup of Android smartphones is called Le 1s and it's quite the beauty. According to a new report, the smartphone is now available for purchase in China for just 1,1100 yuan ($175 / €160) outright.
The low price makes the Le 1s one of the cheapest octa-core smartphones. Moreover, the Le 1s is entirely made of metal, not to mention that it packs some of the latest technologies available. In fact, LeTV has confirmed that it's selling the phone at loss.
For example, LeTV Le 1s comes with a single USB Type C port, which makes it one of the few handsets to include such as piece of technology.
Under the hood, the Chinese device employs the services of a powerful 64-bit 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor, coupled with a PowerVR G6200 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.
An incredibly low priced high-end smartphone
Although the Le 1s packs 32GB of storage inside, users will be able to further expand internal memory up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
The only possible downside would be the 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. A Quad HD display would have been more appropriate for such a powerful specs sheet, but that would have certainly increased the phone's price.
On the back, LeTV Le 1s boasts a 13-megapixel camera featuring ISOCELL sensor, phase detection autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, while on the front, there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video recording.
LeTV 1s is powered by a high-capacity 3,000 mAh battery with quick charging technology. It also comes preloaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.
If you've been drooling over LeTV's new metal beauty, then you should know that the Le 1s is unlikely to be launched outside China, but you might be able to get it from Chinese retailers that ship internationally.
