It should be officially unveiled in early September

Lenovo is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in China and already owns a small chunk of the US market thanks to the acquisition of Motorola.

One of the many devices that Lenovo has yet to announce is the so-called Vibe S1, which was leaked earlier this year and was supposed to be launched in March at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015.

However, Lenovo thought otherwise and the smartphone was delayed. It reappeared at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, in late June, along with its specs.

Given the fact that the phone has been approved at TENAA, there's a high chance that it will be officially unveiled in the next couple of weeks. In fact, Lenovo Vibe S1 might be announced in early September during IFA 2015 trade fair.

It also packs a 13-megapixel rear camera

Even though we already know most of the smartphone's specs, there is one thing that we missed. According to @upleaks, Lenovo Vibe S1 could be the world's first smartphone with dual selfie camera.

The information comes with a picture that shows the Vibe S1 does indeed feature two cameras in the front, something that apparently no other handset packs.

Lenovo Vibe S1 is a mid-range smartphone, which is expected to ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. It will be available in five color options: Black, Blue, Pink, Violet and White.

The handset has already been confirmed by TENAA to pack a 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

In addition, the smartphone should feature a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, while the front dual camera has 8 megapixels.

Other highlights of the Vibe S1 include 2,420 mAh battery, 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS with AGPS.
